MANVILLE - Lucien H. Desjardins, 83, of Desoto Way, died Sunday February 5, 2012, in Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Rita (Dubois) Desjardins.
Born in Albion, son of the late Wilbur and Yvonne (Demuth) Desjardins.
Mr. Desjardins worked as a tow motor operator for Klasscraft in Slatersville, for 35 years prior to retiring.
He was a member of the Elk # 850, Albion Social Club, and served as president from 1989-1992. He also was a member of St. Joseph Veterans.
Besides his wife Rita, he is survived by one daughter, Theresa Adam of Edgewater, Florida. One sister Claudette Lamarre, of Bellingham, MA. One brother, Wilbur Desjardins Jr. of South Carolina. Two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
He also was the father of the late Claire Walmsley.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday , February 10, 2012, at 10 A.M. in St. James Church, 33 Division St., Manville, R.I., which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be at a later date.
