WOONSOCKET- Linda M. Ponte, 51 of Main Street, passed away Wednesday in the Woonsocket Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Rui Ponte.
Born in Providence, she is the daughter of Horrace and Theresa (Sousa) Moniz of Portugal. She resided in Woonsocket for the past 6 years, previously residing in Pawtucket and Cumberland.
When Linda was in Cumberland she was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Cumberland.
She was involved with the Agape Center, Woonsocket.
Beside her parents she leaves one daughter Chantel Morin of Cumberland. Two grandchildren; Amber Levine and Aiden Morin both of Cumberland.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Monday at 6 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be priate.
