WOONSOCKET- Marcel L. "Mitch" Lanoue, 90, of Woonsocket passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the Veterans Medical Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Blanche A. (Allaire) Lanoue.
Born in Milton, VT on August 10, 1921, he was the son of the late Valmore and Alvayana (Dexter) Lanoue.
He was the loving father of Muriel Sene and her husband Eugene of Bellingham, MA, Debra A. Lanoue and her fianc John Vincent of Providence, RI with whom he lived, Jeffrey Lanoue and his fiance Sheila Souliere of Cumberland, RI and the late Mitchell Lanoue. He leaves his cherished four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Luce Bernier of Blackstone, MA.
A World War II United States Army Air Corps Veteran, he served in China, India, and the Asiatic Pacific Theater of Operations. He was a radio operator with a B-29 Bomber group. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 18th at 11:30AM at Resurrection Cemetery, 259 West Wrentham Road, Cumberland, RI with Military Honors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
