WOONSOCKET- Ana dos Santos, 93, of Woonsocket, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Bayberry Commons Nursing Home in Burrillville. Born April 5, 1918 in Rapa, Celorico Da Beira, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Jose Bernardo and Maria Antonia (Gomes) dos Santos.
She was the loving and caring wife of the late Amadeu Cabral.
Ana was a house wife and homemaker the majority of her life. She was a hard worker and a dedicated wife and mother. She had worked in the mills when she came to the United States from Portugal and was able to retire at the age of 67. Ana was well loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Isabelle dos Santos of Brazil, Alice Cabral of Woonsocket and Lourdes dos Santos of Portugal; 3 sons, Jose and Carlos Cabral, both of Woonsocket and Antonio Cabral of Portugal; 2 sisters, Alice Almeida and Cecelia Martins, both of Portugal. Ana is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, February 21 at 9 AM from the Egidio DiPardo and Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Avenue, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Sacred Heart Church. Burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone, MA. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 19 from 6-8PM.
