PALM BAY, FL- Philip W. McMullin, Jr., 79, of Palm Bay, FL, Whitinsville, MA and formerly of Bellingham, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Washburn House in Worcester, MA with his family by his side. He was the husband of Beverly A. (Dunham) McMullin and the late Audrey A. (Willhauck) McMullin.
Born in Newton, MA on November 3, 1932, he was the son of the late Philip W. and Barbara (Connolly) McMullin.
He was the father of Stephen J. McMullin and his wife, Cristie of Blackstone, MA, Michael P. McMullin and his wife, Linda of Uxbridge, MA, Lorraine Mancini and her husband, Jeffrey of Worcester, MA, Rosemary Ryan and her husband, Scott of Millville, MA; his 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his wifes 6 children, 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of William McMullin of Lenoire, TN, Thomas McMullin and his wife, Claire of Naples, FL, Edwin McMullin and his wife, Deleta of Osterville, MA, Paul McMullin and his wife, Linda of Waltham, MA, Ann Ryan and her husband, Robert of Medfield, MA, Barbara Scalia of Tewksbury, MA, Carol Mazzola and her husband, Joseph of Grotton, MA, Mary Catherine Burns and her husband, Robert of Tewksbury, MA, Julia Patricia Wingfield and her husband, Edward of Florence, MA, and the late John McMullin.
Philip was an oil burner serviceman for Atlantic Oil Service of East Boston, Ma for many years until retiring in 1994. He was Past President of the Bellingham Youth Hockey. He enjoyed golfing, was an avid camper and a member of the Good Sams Club and Teton Club. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, February 25th at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 So. Main St., Bellingham. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Milford, MA.
Visiting hours are on Friday, February 24th from 5 to 8PM at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
