McGair: Cumberland's Patrick signs on with South Florida baseball program

Cumberland High School senior Justin Patrick recently signed a letter of intent to accept a baseball scholarship to Division 1 Big East power, the University of South Florida.
Patrick is a 6-foot-5, 205-pound righthanded pitcher. He played for the Blackstone Valley Spinners AAU Baseball Club in 2009 and 1010, as well as a variety of tournament travel and college showcase teams. This past summer, he was named to the all-tournament team at the high-profile Lynn Invitational college showcase. He also stood out at the World Wood Bat Championships in Jupiter, Florida. He has starred on the mound for the last two seasons for Cumberland High School, where he compiled a 1.59 earned run average during his junior year.
