WOONSOCKET- Gloria M. Kane, 86, of Clinton St., died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 in St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Laura (Gauthier) Kane.
Gloria worked as a social service provider for the former Woonsocket Hospital, now Landmark Hospital, until her retirement. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Gloria was very proud of her Irish heritage and had a great sense of humor.
She is survived by twenty-seven nephews and nieces. Gloria was predeceased by seven brothers, Walter, Emmett, Woodrow, Russell, Irvin, Frederick and Kenneth Kane.
Her funeral, beginning with visitation at 8:30AM will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 190 North Main Street. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Church, 190 North Main St., Woonsocket, RI 02895, to be used towards social services.
