CHEPACHET- Thomas E. Arthur, Jr., 55, of Victory Highway, Chepachet, died Sunday, March 4, 2012 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Rachel L. (Henshaw) Arthur whom he married April 28, 1978. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Thomas and Claudette (Lauzon) Arthur, Sr.
Thomas worked as a groundskeeper for Green Lawn, Woonsocket. He loved fishing and playing pool.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Thomas Pleau of Woonsocket, a stepdaughter, Pamela Smith of Woonsocket, a brother, Bobby Arthur of Barnegat, NJ, a brother/uncle, Ray Lauzon of No. Smithfield, two sisters, Linda Mikell of Titusville, FL and Deedee Arthur of Barnegat, NJ, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the stepfather of the late Francis "Cocoa" Henshaw.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11AM in the Par-X Club, 36 Stanley St., Woonsocket. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
