BELLINGHAM- Ruth T. "Ruthie" (Hoyle) Morin, 84, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Milford Regional Medical Center with her loving family and best friends by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Philibert A. "Phil" Morin, Jr.
Born in Boston, MA on January 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (McKenzie) Hoyle.
She was the loving mother of John P. Morin and his wife Deborah of Fitchburg, MA, Dennis P. Morin and his wife Ann-Marie of Raynham, MA, and Kathleen T. Halpin, and her husband Donald Jr. of Bellingham, MA. She leaves her cherished eight grandchildren, Danyelle Halpin of Woonsocket, RI, Jillian Halpin of Ashland, NH, D.J. Halpin of Bellingham, MA, Matthew, Shawn and Elizabeth Morin all of Raynham, MA, Nicole and Amelia Morin both of Fitchburg, MA; and two great-grandchildren, Dennis Jr. and Ava Fernandes both of Woonsocket, RI. She was the sister of Joan Pfarrah of Plano, TX and the late Robert, James, Alfred and Frederick Hoyle, Josephine McLennan and Helen Mullaney.
A resident of Bellingham for 49 years formerly, of Dorchester, MA where she was raised. Mrs. Morin was a cafeteria worker for the Bellingham School System for many years, then worked as a payroll clerk for Kmart in Milford for many years until retiring, and then did child care for many children. She was a communicant of St. Blaise Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed her summers camping in Vermont and winters in Naples, FL after her retirement. She enjoyed traveling, knitting and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 21st at 8:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 So. Main St., Bellingham. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Tuesday, March 20th from 4 to 8PM at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 and would be appreciated.
