ELIZABETH, CO- William James Marshall III, (Billy), 65, passed into eternal life on Tuesday, March 13th at The Denver Hospice in Colorado. He was the husband of Irene (Masse) Marshall for 46 years and they lived in Elizabeth, CO.
He was born to the late William James Jr. and Dorothea (Gryzboska) Marshall on December 27, 1946 in Milford, MA.
Billy graduated from St. Mary's Central Catholic School. After serving in the Vietnam War with the Navy, Billy served on the Milford Fire Department for 14 years. During that time earned his Associate's Degree in Fire Science as well as his Emergency Medical Technician's (EMT) Certificate. He loved his work and found it very rewarding to help people. Later, he lived in Vermont before moving to Colorado in 1992.
Besides his wife,William is survived by two daughters, Renee Barr of Tazewell, VA and Audra Hehr with her husband David of Elizabeth CO, as well as four grandchildren Jasmine, Ryan, Annabel, and Sean. William leaves four siblings, Barbara Boulay of Maine, twin sister Dorothy Jenkins of King George, VA, John of Norfolk, VA, and Janet Conlon of Millbury, MA. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be sorely missed by his family and friends but not forgotten.
Mr. Marshall's funeral will be held at 9:00 am Friday, March 23, 2012 from the James E. Kellett and Son Funeral Home, 21 West St., Milford, MA followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in St. Mary's Church, Winter St., Milford, MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Milford, MA. Calling hours are Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 5:00-7:00pm.
