David R. Post, Sr.

BELLINGHAM- David R. Post, Sr., 70, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Milford Regional Medical Center with family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Dianna M. (Muise) Post.
Born in South Ambay, NJ on February 23, 1942, he was the son of the late Russell and Helen (Bennett) Post.
He was the loving father of David R. Post, Jr. and his wife, Dennise of Hartland, VT, Laura Desmarais and her husband, Robert of Milford, MA, Elaina Corey and her husband, Earl of Warner, NH, Melissa Provost and her husband, Thomas of Plattsburg, NY, Sonja Bazinet and her husband, David of Uxbridge, MA; and his cherished 10 grandchildren and great-grandson. He was the brother of Helen Clayton and her husband, William of Keansburg, NJ and the late Barbara Diamond. He also leaves his aunt Margaret McKenzie of Key Port, NJ and his nieces and nephew.
A resident of Bellingham since 1987 formerly of Waltham, MA and Key Port, NJ where he was raised and graduated high school in 1960. David was a steam fireman for the Department of Corrections Walpole for 20 years until retiring in 2010 and previously worked at General Motors in Framingham. He was a United States. Navy Veteran having served on the USS Boston. He enjoyed watching baseball, football and boxing. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 27th at 10:00AM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI. Visiting hours are on Monday, March 26th from 5 to 8PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
