BELLINGHAM- Edgar R. Lamarre, 80, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Westborough, MA. He was the beloved husband for 60 years of Claudette E. (Desjardins) Lamarre.
Born in Lincoln, RI on February 16, 1932, he was the son of the late Armand and Victoria (Paulhus) Lamarre.
He was the loving father of Ron Lamarre and his wife, Susan of Rehoboth, MA, Richard Lamarre of Blackstone, MA and his fiance, Edel King, Russ Lamarre and Ellie Kochanek of Blackstone, MA, Kenneth Lamarre and his wife, Judith of Blackstone, MA, Michael Lamarre of Blackstone, MA, Brenda Needleman and her husband, Stuart of Milford, MA, Debra Flanigan and her husband, Rick of Houston, TX; and his cherished 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Normand Lamarre of Woonsocket, RI, Doris Ferland of Bethlehem, NH, Clarise Durkin of Pascoag, RI, and Constance Cournoyer of Providence, RI.
A resident of Bellingham for most of his life and he also had resided in Bethlehem, NH for 13 years. Mr. Lamarre worked as a machinist at Brown & Sharp in Providence for many years and also was a chef at Felice Restaurant in Woonsocket. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, March 31st with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 South Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Interment will follow at Scott Cemetery, Center St., Bellingham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
There are no calling hours and please omit flowers.
