TOWN CREEK, ALABAMA- Normand R. Fontaine, 88 years old passed away on January 12, 2012 in Town Creek, Alabama.
He was born on December 7th, 1923 and raised on Diamond Hill Road in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
Son of the late Jules and Parmelia Fontaine and the brother of the late Gerard Fontaine, late sisters Doris, Therese, Pauline and one surviving sister and brother-in-law Priscilla and Alfred Boucher of Bellingham, Massachusetts.
He is also survived by his ex-wife, two sons and five daughters, 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Normand was a World War II Army Veteran having served for two years in Central Europe and Austria. Earning the Good Conduct Medal, two bronze service stars, Combat Infantry Badge, American Theatre Ribbon and the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed visiting and vacationing with relatives.
