CHEPACHET- Edward Raymond, 78, died April 1, 2012 after a brief illness at Woonsocket Hospital.
He was born on June 4th 1933 in Fall River Massachusetts.
He was the son of Joseph and Mary (Moniz) Raymond.
Edward served the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He returned home to marry his sweetheart Joan Furtado before settling in Northern Rhode Island. They were to celebrate 55 years of marriage on April 20th. Edward enjoyed the company of family and friends, a good card game, and of course his New England sports teams.
Edward is survived by his sweetheart Joan (Furtado) Raymond, his daughter Lori Beaudreau and her partner Norman MacIntyre of Chepachet, his son Edward and wife Jan Raymond of Chepachet, his daughter Lisa Perrino and her partner Tony Tourtellot of Pawtucket, his sister Theresa Leite of Somerset, Massachusetts, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers Joseph and Donald Raymond.
A Mass to celebrate his life will be held at Glad Tidings Church located at 111 Victory Highway (route 102) Chepachet, Rhode Island on April 21st, at 1:00 pm. Everyone is welcome.
