Maria Josepha Giles

WOONSOCKET- Maria Josepha (Postigo de la Flor) Giles, 82, of Woonsocket, died Thursday in Oakland Grove Health Care Center in Woonsocket. Born in Port of St. Mary, Spain, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Postigo Naranjo and Ana de la Flor Canas.
She came to the United States in 1969 with her son Jose, settling in Woonsocket in 1971.
She is survived by her son, Jose Giles and his wife Susan of Glendale, RI, her brother Antonio Postigo de la Flor of Spain, her grandchildren Matthew and Adam Giles of Glendale, RI, and five great grandchildren Tommy Conte of Virginia, Leannah Giles of Framingham, MA, Christian Giles of Bridgeport, CT, Hailey Whiting of Franklin, MA, and Callie Giles of Burrillville. She was preceded in death by her brother Juan Postigo de la Flor and her grandson Joseph Giles.
Her gravesite service will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Union Cemetery, Smithfield Road, North Smithfield. Calling hours are Monday from 5-8 PM in the Holt Funeral Home 510 So. Main St. Woonsocket.
