WOONSOCKET Cecile (Brodeur) Bernard, 82, of Woonsocket, died Friday, April 6, 2012 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Rene G. Bernard whom she married April 30, 1955.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Clotilde (Poirier) Brodeur.
She lived in Woonsocket for most of her life.
She worked eight years as a house keeper for St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield, retiring in 1994.
She is survived by her four sisters, Pauline Pepin, Rita Brunelle and Helene Normandin all of Woonsocket and Constance Nault of Blackstone, MA. She was the sister of the late Gerard, Leonard and John Brodeur and Madeleine Laramee.
Her Funeral will be held Tuesday April 10, 2012 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, MA.
