BLACKSTONE - Marie T. (Garrity) Erickson, 83, of Blackstone, died Wednesday April 4, 2012 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, MA. She was the wife of the late J. Vincent Erickson. Born in Worcester, MA she was the daughter of the late John and Georgette (Massey) Garrity.
She worked as housekeeper for St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield, retiring in 1986 and previously worked at Tupperware Inc., No. Smithfield for twenty years as an inspector. She lived in Blackstone since 1947 and was a communicant of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Woonsocket. She will be missed by all and is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by a son, Errol Erickson of Woonsocket, a sister, Catherine Harrington of Webster, MA, two granddaughters, Emilie Erickson of Blackstone and Lorre Savoie of Bellingham and five great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Richard Erickson, and sister of the late Edward, Robert and John Garrity.
Her Funeral will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 10 AM in St. Mark Lutheran Church, 871 Harris Ave, Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow in Blackstone Cemetery, Mendon St. Blackstone, MA. Calling hours are Wednesday from 6-8 PM in the Holt Funeral Home 510 So. Main St. Woonsocket.
