Uxbridge- Amalia F. "Mully" (Frabotta) Halacy, 84, of Oak St. died Mon. April 9 at Milford Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Her husband of 48 years Thomas E. Halacy Jr. died April 22, 1987.
She is survived by 3 sons Daniel J. and his wife Carol Ann Halacy, Michael R. and his wife Donna M. Halacy of Suffolk, VA, and Richard P. and his wife Junemarie Halacy of Douglas; a daughter Donna F. and her husband Martin H. Dyndur of Harrisville, RI; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; her brother Peter Frabotta Jr. of Uxbridge; and several nephews and nieces. A son Thomas E. Halacy III predeceased her and she was sister of the late Armando Frabotta and Natalina M. Knapik. Born in Uxbridge on Sept. 3, 1927 she was the daughter of Peter Sr. and Josephine (Rota) Frabotta and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Halacy worked many years at Tupperware Corp. in Blackstone, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Uxbridge Senior Center and St. Mary's Church. Amalia enjoyed spending time with her family and travelling.
Her funeral will be held Fri. April 13 from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 71 Mendon St. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thurs. April 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. Donations in Mully's memory may be made to the Uxbridge Senior Center, 36 S.
