WOONSOCKET- Francoise M. "Fran" (Rheaume) Carrier, 74 of Woonsocket passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Lucien A. "Lou" Carrier.
Born in Woonsocket on August 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Ephrem and Marie Ange (Gagne) Rheaume.
She was the loving mother of Kim M. Carrier and her companion Deborah Dunham of Woonsocket; and step-mother of Keith Carrier and his wife, Hidy of Blackstone, Scott Carrier and his wife, Sharon of Woonsocket and the late Michael Carrier; and her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was the sister of Jeannette M. Deragon of Woonsocket and the late Conrad, Lionel, Roland, Roger, Albert and Lucien Rheaume, and the late Fernande M. Ramirez.
She was a resident of Woonsocket for 5 years formerly of Kissimmee, FL and Bellingham, MA. Fran owned and operated together with her husband Lou, Kim's Kitchen on Pulaski Blvd. Bellingham for many years until retiring in 1987. She also had worked as a bartender and cocktail waitress at the St. James Hotel and Chappy's Supper Club. She was a member of the Crepeau Court Wii Bowling Team, an avid bingo player and Red Sox Fan. Devoted to her family and friends, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 20th at 7:00PM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Visiting hours from 5 to 7PM prior to service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Beacon Hospice, One Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI 02914 would be appreciated.
