WOONSOCKET- Nazare (Matias) Pedro, 95, of East School St. St. Germain Manor, died April 19, 2012, in Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Anacleto Pedro.
Born in Portugal, daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Matias.
Nazare worked as a housekeeper for the former Woonsocket Hospital, now Landmark Medical Center and as a stitcher for Fashion Sportswear until retiring.
She was a member of the Portuguese Continental Union.
She is survived by one son Manuel and wife Maria Pedro, of Woonsocket, one daughter, Beatriz Pedro Caldeira and husband Americo, of Lisbon, Portugal. Five grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren in the area, and several in Portugal. She also was the sister of the late Antonio Matias.
Her funeral will be held on Monday April 23, 2012 at 9 A.M., from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, Mass. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours are Sunday from 5-8 P.M.
