Juliette I. Guay

LINCOLN/MANVILLE- Juliette I. Guay, 72, of Manville, R.I. passed away on Wednesday at home. A daughter of the late Hubert Guay and Ernestine (Paradis) Guay, she was born on May 17, 1939 in Woonsocket, R.I.
She was employed for 29 years by the State of R.I., formerly T.D.I. Division. After retirement, she volunteered for ten years as a reading coach in elementary schools in Woonsocket and Northern Lincoln. Julie was a member of the St. John Vianney Prayer Group, and was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church in Manville.
She is survived by a brother, Alfred Guay, a sister-in-law, Jackie, two nieces, Darlene Guay and Fiance Anthony Granata, Cheryl Fitzgerald and husband Kevin, and one grand niece, Danielle Kurczy. She was the sister of the late Marie A. Guay of Smithfield, R.I.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rte. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Division St., Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, in Manville. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
