NORTH PROVIDENCE- Carolyn L. (Sherman) MacLure, 51, of North Providence passed away at home on Saturday, April 21, 2012. She was the wife of Norman MacLure of North Providence.
Born in Cranston she was the daughter of the late Louis G. and Helen M. (Fountaine) Sherman, Jr.
She was self-employed as a graphic designer, as well as being a talented painter and writer. She was also a dedicated wife and mother always fighting for what was best for her family.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter: Ashley S. MacLure of Pawtucket; three siblings: Louis Sherman III of Coventry, Frederick Sherman of North Providence and Alice Barnett of Zephyrhills, FL and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Saturday, April 28 at 4 PM. Visitation will be from 3:30 4 PM prior to the service. Burial will be private. Should friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to Providence Animal Rescue League, 34 Elbow Street, Providence, RI 02903.
