Elza E. Saletnik

BURRILLVILLE- Elza E. Saletnik, 94, a lifelong resident of Pascoag, passed away on Friday April 27, 2012 in the Overlook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pascoag.
Born in Framingham, MA, she was the daughter of the late Jan and Stanislawa (Maliga) Saletnik.
Elza was a 1936 graduate of Burrillville High School and later of Bryant College. She began working for the Industrial Trust Bank of RI in 1940 and retired from Fleet Bank in 1980. During her career, she had been treasurer of the Burrillville Chamber of Commerce and of the Pascoag Businessmen's Association. She was a member of the North Providence Business and Professional Women, the Burrillville Village Players, and the Polish Kalina Choir of Uxbridge.
She is survived by her cousins, Mollie Grace, Karen Grace and Patricia Welch. She was also the sister of the late Jennie E. Saletnik.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday May 2, 2012 at 11AM in the Polish National Church of Our Saviour, 500 Smithfield Rd, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery, Farm St. Blackstone, MA. Calling hours will be held Wednesday prior to the service from 9 to 10AM in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave. Pascoag. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Overlook Nursing Home, Activity Fund, 14 Rock Ave. Pascoag, RI 02859 or the Polish National Church of Our Saviour, 500 Smithfield, Rd, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
