CUMBERLAND- Lionel J. Bibeault, 89, of Eaton Street, formerly of Old River Road, passed away Thursday in the Hebert Nursing Home, Smithfield. He was the husband of the late Jacqueline (Rousseau) Bibeault.
Born in Blackstone, MA he was the son of the late Omer and Marie (Giguere) Bibeault. He resided in Cumberland for many years, previously residing in Lincoln.
Mr. Bibeault was the owner of the Crawford Door Sales of Pawtucket, and the former Country Kitchen of Cumberland for many years.
He was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church, Albion. He was an avid golfer, he loved playing cards, and was a well known prankster.
He leaves his three daughters, Carmel Paquette of Cumberland, Michelle Shaffer of Bumpass, VA, and Julie Morrissey of Cumberland; six grandsons, Eric Anderson, Neil Anderson, Brad Morrissey, Kyle Morrissey, Nicholas Morrissey, and Brett Shaffer; five great-grandchildren; as well as one niece and one nephew. He was the brother of the late Albert Bibeault.
A celebration of his life will be held Thursday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in the St. Ambrose Church, School Street, Albion. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held at the church from 9 AM to 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Alzheimers Association of Rhode Island.
