LINCOLN- Aurora Baptista (Gonsalves) 97, of Lincoln died May 6, 2012. She was the wife of the late Antonio M. Baptista.
She was born in Brava, Cape Verde a daughter of the late Benjamin J. and Louisa B. (Barros) Gonsalves.
She came to this country 75 years ago settling in Lincoln.
She is survived by 4 sons Benjamin Baptista of Cape Coral, FL, Manuel "Butch" Baptista of Woonsocket, Paul "Herman" and Antonio Baptista Jr. both of Lincoln. 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A funeral gathering at 9am Thursday in Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home 530 Smithfield Ave. Pawtucket, with a funeral service at 10am in Mount Hope Community Baptist Church 734 Hope St. Providence. Calling hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. In lieu of flowers donations to Home & Hospice Care of RI 1085 N. Main St. Providence, RI.
