WEST KINGSTON- Robert R. Lamoureux, 75, resident of West Kingston, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Shady Acres Nursing Home in West Kingston.
Born in Woonsocket, he is a son of the late George L. and Doris (Fugere) Lamoureux, Sr.
He was a true outdoorsmen. Robert loved being one with nature. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and bird watching. In addition to enjoying the great outdoors, he was also an avid cribbage player. Robert was member in numerous organizations, including the Tigertown Deer Chasers Inc. in Vermont, Post Polio Group #97 in New Hampshire and the Elks Club-Coventry W. Greenwich RI Lodge #2285.
He is survived by his loving and caring wife Suzette, who was also his caretaker in his time of need; a brother Donald Lamoureux of Portsmouth, NH; 3 sisters Elaine D. DiPardo of North Smithfield, Delores Duquette of Melbourne, FL and Janet Moore of North Smithfield. Robert is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his loving companion Rascal.
Robert was preceded in death by a brother George Lamoureux Jr and a sister Claire Lenberg.
His funeral service will be held Friday in the Egidio DiPardo and Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Avenue, Woonsocket, RI at 10AM. Burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone, MA. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-7PM.
