Alfred Poxon

BLACKSTONE, MASS- Alfred (Jack) Poxon 82 Formerly of NH died May 2, 2012 at the Blackstone Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 13, 1930 in Woonsocket, RI and was the son of the late Ernest and Rose A (Reynolds) Poxon.
Alfred was a horse trainer who traveled the racing circuit along the East Coast for most of his career and retiring from the Rockingham Racetrack in NH.
He was the former husband of the late Bella (Rue) Poxon.
He is survived by four children; Robert Poxon of Mendon, MA, Donna Valley of California, Sandra (Poxon) Bonenfant of Warwick and Susan A. Bartholomy of Woonsocket. He also has 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He is also survived by 2 brothers; Charles Poxon of Woonsocket, and Ernest Poxon Jr of Boston, MA; and 2 sisters, Edythe Gulowacz of Smithfield and Barbara Sousa of Woonsocket. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Tancrede.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 20, 2012 from 1-3 at the Alderwood Funeral Home 185 Spring St in Woonsocket.
