Alan A. Knight, Sr.

WOONSOCKET- Alan A. Knight, Sr., 45, of Woonsocket passed away after a lengthy illness Tuesday at Trinity Health Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Therese (Laflamme) Knight.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of George E. Knight of Mansfield, MA. and the late Yvette E. (LaFlash) Knight. He was educated in Mansfield schools.
Alan worked for Town Fair Tire and as an auto mechanic. He enjoyed special family time, watching his children participate in sports, playing with his grandchildren, fishing and the outdoors.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by three daughters, Amanda, Kristen and Deseree'-Ann Knight and two sons Alan A., Jr. and George G. Knight, and four grandchildren. He was the brother of Carol Seymour, Dianna Ferdinando, Sandra Knight, Donna Emerson and Gail Knight. He is also survived by his step-mother Ruth Knight and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5-8 pm in the Menard- Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. A service in Celebration of Alan's Life will be held at the conclusion of visiting hours. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Deseree'-Ann Trust Fund at any Citizens Bank.
