Francis A. Crisafulli

WOONSOCKET - Francis A. "Frank" Crisafulli, 86, of Woonsocket, died May 23, 2012 at The Friendly Nursing Home, Woonsocket. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Dorothy K. (Moon) Crisafulli.
Born in Woonsocket, where he lived all of his life, he was the son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Fauzza) Crisafulli.
He worked for 50 years as the owner of Fairmount Market in Woonsocket, retiring in 1999. Frank served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II where he earned the Purple Heart during the invasion of Iwo Jima. During his earlier years, Frank enjoyed bowling, square dancing and coaching little league baseball.
Besides his wife Dorothy, Frank is survived by his son Gary F. Crisafulli and his wife Suzanne of Aiken, SC, his daughter Gail D. Bouley and her husband Roger of Woonsocket, two brothers John Crisafulli of Woonsocket, and Andrew Crisafulli of No. Smithfield, two sisters Mary Riley of Black Mountain, NC and Frances Crisafulli of Woonsocket, four Grandchildren, Alison K. Bouley of Woonsocket, Kimberly J. Dirosario of Cumberland, Nicole Crisafulli of Columbus, OH and Chelsea Crisafulli of Brooklyn, NY and one Great Granddaughter, Rylee K. Bouley of Woonsocket. He was preceded in death by three brothers Samuel, Joseph and Rosario Crisafulli, and his sister Rose Crisafulli.
His funeral beginning with calling hours at 8:30 AM will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 from The Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Second Ave., Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friendly Nursing Home, 303 Rhodes Ave., Woonsocket, RI 02895 or to Beacon Hospice Care, 1 Catamore Blvd, East Providence, RI 02914.
