WOONSOCKET- Norman R. Berard 72, of Mendon Rd, died Wednesday, May 23 in the Trinity Health & Rehab Center.
He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Arthur and Alice (Gravel) Berard.
Mr. Berard was a self employed painter for many years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks, St. Joseph's Veterans, and the Cercle Laurier.
He is survived by a son Norman Berard of Woonsocket, two daughters; Pamela Berard of Somerset, MA, and Kristin Stone of No. Smithfield, two stepsons; James Castonguay of Woonsocket, and John Castonguay of Quincy, MA, three step daughters; Julie Laforest of Woonsocket, Laurie Myette of FL, and Lisa Castonguay of Woonsocket, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by three brothers; Randy Berard of Woonsocket, Russell Berard of Cumberland, and Roger Berard of FL, and two sisters; Claudette Forkey of Woonsocket, and Judy Lareau of GA.
Visiting hours will be held Friday 4-7 PM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to The Woonsocket Lodge of Elks, for the ENF Fund, 380 Social St., Woonsocket, RI 02895 in his memory would be appreciated.
