BLACKSTONE- Kathryn M. (Maloney) McLaughlin, 84, a lifelong Blackstone resident, died May 28, 2012 in Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford, MA. She was the wife of the late Thomas McLaughlin.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Edward S. and Eileen A. (Brooks) Maloney.
She worked 54 years as a secretary for the Raymond F. Murphy Co., Providence, retiring in 2003. Mrs. McLaughlin was a communicant of St. Paul's Church, loved spending time with her family, often volunteered with Meals On Wheels, and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods Casino and playing bingo.
She is survived by her sister Eileen Greene of Blackstone, her brother John Maloney of Blackstone, her sister-in-law Margaret Simpson of Peach Tree City, GA, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother William Maloney.
Her funeral, beginning with visitation will be held Friday June 1, 2012 at 8:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen For The Cure, P. O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265 or the American Heart Association 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
