WOONSOCKET- Joseph O. Morin Jr., 85, passed away peacefully on Monday at the Oakland Grove Health Care Ctr., with his family by his side. He was the loving husband to Theresa (Bacon) Morin.
Born July 22, 1926 in Blackstone, MA. he was the son of the late Joseph & Aurore (Caya) Morin.
Joseph was employed for the Woonsocket Housing Authority retiring in 1992, before that, he was a self employed carpenter. He proudly served in the U.S. NAVY during WWII.
Besides his wife he leaves 3 sons: Joseph, Paul & Marcel Morin all of Woonsocket, 6 Daughters Jeanne Morin, Estelle LaForge, Denise Beaudette, Rachel Larochelle & Carol Morin all of Woonsocket. Claire Griffin of Charlotte, NC., a brother Armand Morin of Woonsocket, 4 sisters Therese Desjardins of Manville, Cecile Morin of No. Smithfield, Sister Marie Joanna of Methuen, MA. & Germaine Gravel of CA. 21 Grandchildren & 24 Great Grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Emile, Leo & Edgar Morin.
Relatives & Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 8th at 11:00 A.M. at Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. James Cemetery, Manville.
Visitation hours are respectfully omitted. Donations in his memory can be sent to the Odyssey Hospice & Health Care, 2347 Post Rd. Warwick, RI 02886.
