WOONSOCKET - Lucille R. (Roberts) Adam, 90, of Woonsocket, RI formerly of Bellingham, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 18, 2012 at The Friendly Home of Woonsocket with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Adam.
Born in Woonsocket on October 8, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Wilfed and Eva (Piche) Roberts.
She was the loving mother of Robert E. Adam and his wife, Deborah of Blackstone, MA, Marc J. Adam and his wife, Connie of Sierra Vista, AZ, Elaine E. Blanchard and her husband, Richard of Lincoln, RI; and her cherished 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Wilfred Roberts and Marguerite A. Connell.
Mrs. Adam worked as an inspector at Montrose Mills in Woonsocket for 15 years, and then had worked at Grants, Nyanza, and Robert's Market. She was a member of the Council on Aging in Bellingham and the former Friends of Bellingham Seniors Club, and a member of the Ladies of St. Ann of Assumption Church. She was an avid traveler, enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Hill Toppers of Woonsocket. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 20th at 8:30AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Paul's Church 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Wrentham Rd., Bellingham. Visiting hours are from 8:30 to 9:30AM at the funeral home prior to Mass.
