WOONSOCKET- Judith L. Vanmoerkerque of 507 Elm Street passed away suddenly in her home on June 3, 2012. She was the companion of William Holmes for the past 26 years.
She was born on February 2, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Elsie (Tuba) Horvath.
She is survived by 3 brothers; Louis Horvath of Austin, Texas, Charles Horvath of Litchfield, Conn., and Michael Horvath of Bridgeport, Conn. She was also survived by 6 children; the late Darlene Scanlon of Woonsocket, RI, James Stefflin Sr. of North Smithfield, RI, Joseph Stefflin Sr., Denise Couepel, Allen Stefflin, and Richard Stefflin all of Woonsocket, RI. She was a loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket, RI. She will be sadly missed.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 3pm at The River United Methodist Church, 17 Federal Street, Woonsocket, RI. The service will be given by Pastor Rebecca Lambert with a correlation immediately following the service. All friends and family are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, there will be a basket for cards at the guestbook sign in. Parking for the service will be in the lot behind Chan's Restaurant.
