BURRILLVILLE- Walter J. Moore, 76, resident of Burrillville, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, June 23, 2012. Born in Whitinsville, MA, he was a son of the late Gordon and Gladys (Joslin) Moore.
Walter had worked as an Aircraft Mechanic for many years, retiring from New England Aviation.
He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 56 years, Bernadette; son Gary Moore and his wife Cindy of North Carolina; daughter Sheryll LaFrancois and her husband Michael of Pascoag, RI; grandchildren Melissa Featherly and her husband Chad, Michael Moore, Michael LaFrancois and Nichole LaFrancois and 7 great grandchildren. Walter also leaves behind a sister, Laverne Smith and her husband Dwight and a loving sister-in-law Madelyn Lowe of Stuart, FL. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walters name to the Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
Arrangements and burial were held privately and entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Highway, Oakland, RI.
