WOONSOCKET- Leo P. Beauchamp, 84, of Woonsocket, died June 24, 2012 in his home. He was the husband of Priscille (Dumais) Beauchamp, who died in 2004.
Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Anne (Bonin) Beauchamp.
Leo attended the former Hill College. He was a driver and salesman for the former Peter Pan Ice Cream, Woonsocket for 25 years, retiring in 1987. Leo was an U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church. Leo was a former Little League Coach for Cercle Laurier and was also a hockey coach.
He leaves four sons, Marc Beauchamp and his wife Betsy of Blackstone, Greg Beauchamp and his wife Annette of Woonsocket, Gary and Debbie Beauchamp of Pascoag and Scot Beauchamp and his wife De-Ann of Woonsocket and six grandchildren. His son, Paul Beauchamp predeceased him.
Leo's funeral will be held Friday, June 29, 2012 at 9AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Avenue. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 4-7 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VA Medical Center, 830 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI 02908.
