CUMBERLAND- Eugenia (Sulyma) Curran died on June 29, 2012, at Emerald Bay Manor Health Center, in Cumberland, RI.
Born in Woonsocket, RI, on December 16, 1923. Beloved wife of the late Patrick J. Curran.
Devoted mother of Diane Curran Kidwell and her husband Daniel of Randolph, MA; son Scott Curran and his wife Ellen of Cumberland. Also survived by grandchildren Samantha Curran; Sean Kidwell and his wife Cintia; Brendan Kidwell and his wife Rebecca; Erin and Glen Kidwell. Great-granddaughter Isabel Kidwell; sister-in-law Evelyn Sulima; and many nieces, nephews. Daughter of the late Karol and Anastazia Sulyma. Sister of the late Michael Sulima, of St. Ann, MO.
Mrs. Curran was a graduate of Woonsocket High School, and Hill College. During the years of World War II, she was employed as a secretary at U.S. Rubber in Woonsocket, RI. After the family moved to Cumberland, Mrs. Curran worked in the library of Cumberland Hill Elementary School, and later at American Greetings Company.
She enjoyed painting, traveling, reading, knitting, and sports.
Services are private at the request of the family. The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care that Eugenia received from the nursing staff at Emerald Bay as well as Odyssey Hospice.
