WOONSOCKET - Michael R. Flood, 74, of Flora Ave. died Thursday June 28, 2012 at home.
He was the husband of Paula (Farrell) Flood who passed away in 2006.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Michael and Mary (Ryan) Flood.
Mr. Flood was Self-employed in Real Estate, and was owner and operator of M&P Cleaning.
Mr. Flood enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all helping others. He was an awesome family man. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends. Mr. Flood was quoted as saying" Success was measured by his kids."
He is survived by four sons, Michael J. and wife Donna Flood of Exeter, R.I., David Flood of Exeter, R.I., James E. Flood of Woonsocket, and Daniel J. Flood of Woonsocket. Three daughters, Susan and husband Chris Kolb, of Apoka, Florida, Nancy and husband Stanley Irza, of Cumberland, Allison and husband Deke Mousseau, of Woonsocket. One brother James Flood of Warwick., R.I. One sister Patricia Muller, of North Smithfield, R.I. Eight grandchildren Rick, Jamie, Michael, Marissa Flood, Deke and Abigal Mousseau, and Lyric and Liam Flood. And one great- granddaughter, Madysen Flood. And also caregiver and close friend Kelly Dyndur.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday July 3, 2012 at 9 A.M. from the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket. With a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Agatha's Church, 34 Joffre Ave., Woon. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Monday July 2, 2012 from 4-8 P.M. in the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woon. In lieu of flowers donations to the R.I. Food Bank 200 Niantic Ave. Providence, R.I. 02903, in his memory would be appreciated.
