Patricia M. Renn

WOONSOCKET - Patricia M. Renn, 77, of Woonsocket, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at Landmark Medical Center.
Born and raised in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Viola E. (Klang) Smith. She was a resident of Woonsocket for many years.
Patricia was a graduate of the former West High School in Pawtucket, Class of 1952. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Dramatics from Emerson College in Boston with the Class of 1956.
Over the years Patricia worked as a teacher with several school systems, and as a house manager at Talbot House in South Providence. Prior to her retirement she also worked as a clerk at Ames Department Stores.
Patricia had a special place in her heart for animals and was a member of the ASPCA. She especially enjoyed spending time outdoors whether swimming, just walking the beach, or observing animals.
Patricia's lifelong passion for theatre extended to her volunteering her time as an usher at the Theatre-by-the-Sea in Matunuck.
Patricia loved her family and her favorite role in life was being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by a son John Renn of Woonsocket, two daughters Lisa Paradis of Woonsocket and Laura Burgess of Johnston. A sister Barbara Andrews of Pawtucket. She was the mother of the late Robert J. Renn, Jr. and grandmother of the late Pvt. Corey Paradis, RI National Guard. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua "Josh" Paradis, MSgt. Shannon Paradis, USAF, Raina Burgess, and Joseph Charbonneau, and her great-grandchildren Taliyah, Anaya, Lana, Aiden, and Joshua.
Services and Burial for Patricia are private. Memorial donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX. 75265-0309 or ww5.komen.org. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
