UXBRIDGE- Jane E. (DeStefano) Devine, 76, died July 6, 2012 at home. She was the wife of Thomas E. Devine of Uxbridge.
Born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Ercole and Agusta (DeAngelis) DeStefano, she was a North Smithfield resident for forty six years prior to moving to Uxbridge in 2010.
Mrs. Devine worked as an elementary school teacher in Canton, MA,, No. Smithfield and Woonsocket, retiring in 1999. She attended Green Mountain College and received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Boston University.
Besides her husband, she is survived by their two sons, Christopher Devine of Uxbridge, and Gregory Devine of Redmond, WA; their daughter, Karen Devine-Roy of Westford, MA; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Gloria LaFerte.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 9AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Anthony's Church, 128 Greene St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-7 PM.
