Raymond A. Lefebvre
RIVERIA BEACH, FL- Raymond A. Lefebvre, 86, of Riveria Beach, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Columbia Hospital of West Palm Beach, FL with his wife and friends by his side. He was the beloved husband for 50 years of Therese (Desjarlais) Lefebvre.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on April 20, 1926, he was the son of the late Armand and Irene (Gagnon) Lefebvre.
He was the brother of Marguerite Allen of Pascoag, RI, Eva Marietti and her husband, Michael of Chepachet, RI and the late Marcel Levebvre. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
A resident of Riveria Beach, FL since 1989, he was formerly of Grafton, NH and Woonsocket, RI. Ray was a supervisor at Dorr Woolen Mills, Newport, NH for 22 years until retiring in 1988, and previously at the French Worsted Mill, Woonsocket, RI for many years.
Ray was an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist at St. Helenas Church of Enfield, NH and St. Francis of Assisi Church of Riveria Beach, FL. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Pascoag, RI, The Berard-Desjarlais American Legion Post 88, Harrisville, RI, and a former member of the Burrillville Ambulance Corp.
He was a World War II Veteran serving with the 3704th Army Air Forces Base Unit and received the ATO Medal, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
Devoted to his family and friends, he will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, July 14th at 9:30AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM at St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Road, Woonsocket. Interment will follow at Precious Blood Cemetery with Military Honors. Visiting hours are on Friday, July 13th from 5 to 8PM at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
