Panel to meet with labor leaders today

WOONSOCKET — In what’s being billed as an informational session, the Budget Commission will meet privately with leaders of city labor unions this afternoon to discuss shifting the workforce onto a single health plan.
Dave Eaton, fiscal advisor to the budget commission, said no specific proposals will be made, but a sales representative of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Rhode Island will be on hand to answer questions.
