BURRILLVILLE - Louisa M. "Louise" Giard, 100, lifelong Burrillville resident, passed away on July 18, 2012 at the Overlook Nursing Home in Pascoag.
Born in Oakland, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Maryanne (Levesque) Langlois.
Louise had worked all her life in the textile industry as a mender and in her spare time, she loved to read and do puzzles. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by daughter Marilyn Wilson of Northbridge, MA; son Joseph R. Giard of Pascoag and a sister Theresa Lataille of Oakland. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband Joseph F. Giard, 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 9:30AM from the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Highway, Oakland, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. Josephs Church in Pascoag. Burial to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Pascoag. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4-7PM.
