NO. SMITHFIELD- Janette (Leduc) Wilkins, 90, of No. Smithfield, died August 6, 2012 at home. She was the wife of the late George J. Wilkins.
Born in Uxbridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Albani and Georgiana (Bouten) Leduc.
She owned and operated Janet's Drive-In, No. Smithfield, for 45 years. Janette was an avid quilter and always enjoyed trips to Foxwoods.
She is survived by two sons, William Wilkins of No. Smithfield, and George Wilkins and his wife Nancy of Narraganset; her daughter Kathleen Jackson of No. Smithfield; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews, including Helen & Gerald Marchand. She was the last of a very large family predeceased by her 17 siblings.
Her funeral service will be held Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Slatersville Cemetery, Green St., No. Smithfield. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 - 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA, 01701.
