LINCOLN- Lafond Doris M. 83 of Old River Rd. died Monday August 6, 2012 at home. She was the wife of Roland A. Lafond.
Born in Cumberland, a daughter of the late Albert W. and Amelia (Roy) Costigan. She lived in Manville for many years.
She leaves besides her husband, two daughters Susan Fischbach of Manville and Elaine Remillard of Lincoln, two sons Dennis R. Lafond of Manville and Michael R. Lafond of North Smithfield, one sister Mary Shepard of Florida, two brothers Thomas Costigan of Rhode Island and James Costigan of Florida, seven grandchildren Bryan and Julie Buckless, Rebecca and Caley Remillard, Elizabeth Lafond and Natalie and Gabrielle Lafond.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 11:15am from BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL 160 River Rd. Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. James Church Division St. Manville at 12:30pm. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Relatives and friends are invited and may call THURSDAY 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association RI Chapter 245 Waterman St. Suite 306 Providence, RI 02906 would be appreciated.
