WOONSOCKET- Robert P. Cote, 72, of East School St., Woonsocket, died Monday at Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Leodor and Therese (Pichette) Cote. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Cote was employed by Herman Shoes for over 25 years and later at Stride Rite until he retired in 1985.
Robert was an avid bingo player.
He is survived by his brother Leo Cote, and his wife Terri, of Milford, and his sister and caregiver Jeannette L. Dufresne of Woonsocket. He was the uncle of Tracy Martinelli, and her husband John, and their children Angelina and Joshua. He was the brother of the late Rene R. Cote, uncle of the late Marc L. Dufresne, and brother-in-law of the late Richard L. Dufresne.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday morning from 9:00-10:00 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
