NORTH SMITHFIELD - Melodie A. (Bird) LaRose 59, of Second Ave., died July 31 in the St. Antoine Residence. Ms. LaRose was born in Portland ME, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Leslie (Hersom) Bird. She was a Woonsocket resident most of her life and worked as a picker for CVS for many years.
She is survived by two daughters; Brenda Goguen of Pascoag, and Stacy Leech of Woonsocket, a stepson, Raymond La Rose of Tampa, FL, a brother Kenneth Bird of Buxton, ME, and three sisters; Doris Stover of Standish ME, Helen Conneen of Carver MA, and Lynnette Bogardus of Sparta NJ, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her niece Shauna Bailey, was also the sister of the late Robert and John Bird.
Services are under the direction of the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home and are private.
