BLACKSTONE, MA - Donald A. Martin, 57, of Blackstone passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012. He was the husband of Tina C. (Woodmansee) Martin.
Born in Woonsocket on June 28, 1955, he was the son of the late George W. and Jeannette C. (Archambault) Martin. He was the father of Chad R. Martin of Cumberland, RI and Keith M. Martin of Bristol, RI; and the step-father of Crystallee Martel, Craig Martel and Melissa Sullivan. He was the brother of Alfred Martin of Phoenix, AZ, Albert Martin, Armand Martin, his twin brother Ronald Martin, George Martin, Annette E. Limoges and Paulette Martin all of Woonsocket.
He was a resident of Blackstone for 6 years formerly of Woonsocket where he was raised. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Vietnam War Era and received the Rifle Expert Badge, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
He was a union roofer by trade. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed football and baseball, also was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed the beach. Devoted to his family and friends, he will be greatly missed.
Arrangements are private under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, Bellingham, MA.
