CUMBERLAND- Blanche I. (Desourdy) Marra, of Cumberland, died August 30, 2012 in her home. She was the wife of John Marra, whom she married May 26, 1951.
Born in Burrillville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Dolores (Berard) Desourdy.
Mrs. Marra was a dispatcher for the Foxboro Company until her retirement. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church, enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping.
Besides her husband, Blanche leaves her sister, Doris Poulette of Woonsocket; five nieces and four nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Wilfred Desourdy and Norman Larocque.
Her funeral will be held Friday, September 7, 2012 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John Vianney Church, 3587 Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
