WOONSOCKET- Anita (Riendeau) Laliberte, 89, of Rhodes Ave, died September 8, 2012 in The Friendly Nursing Home, Woonsocket. She was the beloved wife of Ronald C. Laliberte whom she married, August 21, 1943 and recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Oliva and Blanche (Plouffe) Riendeau.
Mrs. Laliberte is survived by her four children; Ronald R. Laliberte and his wife Judy of Quechee, VT, Linda Beattie and her husband James of Palmerton, PA, David Laliberte and his wife Diane of Waldo, ME and Donna L. Matthews and her fiance Geoff Hughes of Cumberland, two sisters; Annette Boucher of No. Smithfield and Irene Bourget of Colorado, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister; Lillian Charland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 10AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., No. Smithfield. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are kindly omitted. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
